Studies on Homalomeneae (Araceae) of Peninsular Malaysia VI – Homalomena electra, a new species and the first non-Bornean occurrence of the Hanneae Complex

ABSTRACT

Homalomena electra P. C. Boyce & S. Y. Wong, a new species of Homalomena [Cyrtocladon Clade] Hanneae Complex, is described from Kelantan, Peninsular Malaysia as the first representative of the Hanneae Complex from beyond Borneo. A key to the three described Peninsular Malaysian species of Homalomena Cyrtocladon Clade is presented, and all three are figured from living plants. A plate depicting leaf blade in H. rostrata is also provided.
