Propagation and thermogenic properties of Pseudohydrosme gabunensis Engl. (Araceae) and Anchomanes difformis (Blume) Engl.

ABSTRACT

Based on the observations of Hetterscheid & Bogner (2013) concerning the propagation and the systematic status of Pseudohydrosme gabunensis (Araceae), we present new propagation techniques to support spreading of this species in cultivation. Thermogenesis in Pseudohydrosme gabunensis and Anchomanes difformis is also documented, and used as an indicator for successful pollination in Pseudohydrosme gabunensis.
