A new Philodendron in sect. Philodendron subsect. Achyropodium (Araceae)

ABSTRACT

Philodendron rubrijuvenile Croat & R. Kaufmann, a member of subgen. Philodendron, sect. Philodendron, subsect. Achyropodium, of Colombian origin, is described and illustrated. It is characterized by its densely pustular petioles and ovatecordate-sagittate blades, which are velvety on the upper surface and bright crimson red on the lower surface when immature.
