Alistair Hay & Peter C. Boyce

ABSTRACT

The new combination Pothos venustus (Wall. ex C.DC.) A.Hay & P.C.Boyce is made, based on a juvenile phase specimen collected in Singapore in 1822 by Nathaniel Wallich and first named in the family Piperaceae. Pothos venustus has priority over P. curtisii Hook.f., a species from Peninsular Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, and Sumatera. Pothos venustus is epitypified. Its four synonyms are cited.
