The habitats of Cryptocoryne (Araceae) in the Chao Phraya River system: The Nan River and the Yom River in northern Thailand

ABSTRACT

The Cryptocoryne populations and their habitats in the Nan River and Yom River, northeastern tributaries to the Chao Phraya River are described. The distribution of C. crispatula var. yunnanensis is extended from the Mekong basin towards the south into the Chao Phraya basin. The occurrence of C. crispatula var. balansae is within the general distribution region but exhibits extraordinary population structures.
